Registered by Dr. Doug and Mardy Beilstein of Ohio in 2009, this
fast growing, upright cultivar
is a sport of an unnamed, streaked form of H.
'Blue
Angel'. This hosta grows into a large size plant
about 22 inches high by 54 inches wide. It is a dark green hosta with
creamy white marginal variegation. The leaves are
broadly ovate, slightly rippled and have a glaucous
bloom on top with twisted tips. Its flowers bloom on
scapes 34 to 36 inches tall. According to the registration materials: "...fast growing, flat leaf, creamy white border
of 1 inch or more, erect with petioles easily seen,
soft glacous top of leaf gives hosta a warm look..."
The originator made the following comment on the
Fraternal Order
of Seedy Fellows website: "Our daughter Megan
brought me the original streaked H. 'Blue Angel' and
after many years of separation a fast growing, beautiful
creamy white edged hosta emerged. A soft glaucous top
gives this plant our angelic look. Not in production."
