this medium size (12 inches high by 30 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Hideko
Tajima' ×
H. 'Purple Verticulated Elf'.
It has light blue-green foliage thart has golden yellow
marginal variegation. The broadly ovate
leaves are slightly folded, moderately twisted, slightly
shiny on top and have tips that twist downward. Medium
lavender flowers with medium lavender stripes, white
margins and darker lavender pedicels bloom in August on
"blushed" purple scapes 14 to 16 inches tall. Seed
viability was unknown at the time of registration. The
registration materials state: "Slightly blue green
wavy leaf of heavy substance with golden yellow
feathered margins, downward twisted tips and the
distinctive flat whorled bloom habit of the pollen
parent...margins turn creamy white and centers become
dark green later in the season ."
