This is one
of those cases where there are two hostas with the
same name. One is registered (shown above) and,
therefore, the "official" version of H. 'Madame
Butterfly'
while the other is a non-registered plant which
needs to be renamed.
This H. 'Dorset Clown' seedling
was registered by
Hideko Gowen of Minnesota in 1999. It forms a
medium size, 17 inch high
mound of slightly wavy, ovate-shaped foliage. Pale lavender
flowers bloom in mid-July.
