of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina this
cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Sun Shower' ×
H. 'Designer Genes'.
It is a medium size hosta about 14 inches high by 30
inches wide with golden yellow foliage that has a
narrow, variable dark green marginal variegation. The
leaves are slightly shiny on top, broadly ovate,
slightly folded and slightly wavy overall with purple on
the petiole that extends almost to the base of the
blade. Medium lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into
August on purple scapes about 32 inches tall with
greenish yellow bracts that have red veins.
The registration
materials state: "...Medium-sized mound of bright
yellow leaves with dark green margins, purple petioles
and purple scapes...center starts out bright yellow
before turning greenish yellow."
