A seedling of H. 'Whoopee', this
cultivar was originated by
Nancy Krul of Belle Gardens and registered by
Dr. Ed Elslager
(both of Michigan) in 1998. The large size (20 inches high) mound of slightly wavy, faintly
corrugated leaves bears lavender flowers from mid-July into August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The name represents the enthusiastic spirit exuded
by the late Nancy Krul."
