A large size (19 inches
high by 40 inches wide) hosta, this cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by
Van Sellers of North Carolina in 1983. Its foliage starts the season
chartreuse in color but changes to medium gold later.
The leaves are broadly ovate, heavily corrugated,
somewhat cupped and have thick substance. Lavender
flowers bloom in June on scapes about 26 inches tall.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...another thick-leaved gold 'Tokudama'-type with
intense corrugation."
