This cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by
Henry
Landis of Canada but registered on his
behalf by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1999. The miniature size plant grows to
around 6 inches in height with a spread of about 16 inches. Its
green foliage is wavy and dull on top. Purple flowers bloom in
July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...a diminutive H. venusta-type...probably originated
in Japan."
