This is one
of those cases where there are two hostas with the
same name. One is registered and,
therefore, the "official" version of H. 'Lighthouse'
while the other is a non-registered plant and needs
to be renamed to avoid further confusion.
This cultivar is a hybrid of an
unnamed seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' × H. hypoleuca
which was registered by
Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 2003. This giant size
plant grows to 29 inches in height with yellow-lime colored
foliage. The leaves are slightly shiny and have thick substance.
Near white flowers bloom in July.
