this small size (10 inches high by 12 inches wide)
cultivar is a seedling of (H. 'Swoosh' ×
H. 'Raving Beauty') ×
H. 'First Blush'. The yellow leaves have
moderately rippled margins. They are dull on top, lanceolate and moderately wavy. Pale purple flowers
bloom from August into September on red scapes 16 to 20
inches tall followed by viable seeds in red pods. The
registration materials state: "...When emerging, it
blushes red with sun exposure. Blush fades within a few
weeks and the bright yellow color turns medium green by
autumn...Yellow with red blush changes to yellow and
finally changes to medium green."
