Originated by
Mary Vertz
of Wisconsin, this cultivar was registered in
2021
as having unidentified parentage. It is a giant size (35 inches high by
47 inches wide) hosta with blue-green foliage. The
broadly ovate leaves are moderately corrugated and
slightly wavy. It bears near white, tubular shape
flowers from June into July
and sets seed but their viability was not known at the
time of registration.
According to the Registration materials: "Intense blue corrugated leaves
remain blue until late summer even when exposed to full
sun until noon. Bluish hue lasts into October. Heavy
rains do nothing to wash away the blue. Heavily
flowered scapes rise above the foliage...blue color
holds through summer keeping a slight blue cast through
to fall..."
