A semi-upright growing seedling selection of unidentified parentage this cultivar was introduced by
Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan in the late 1980s and registered
on his behalf in 2009 by
Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar). This large size (19 inches high
by 42 inches wide) plant has
heavily corrugated, heavily rippled, golden yellow leaves with thick substance. Its flowers bloom
in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by
Mark Zilis (2009), "Most notable about 'Lemon Twist' are its intense
corrugation, heavy rippling, and bright gold foliage color."
