This cultivar was listed on the MyHostas Database website. Originated by Monty and Julie Carlson of Minnesota, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage but has H. longipes var. latifolia 'Urajiro Hachijo' in its background.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term urajiro as white-backed or white underside.

This one and H. 'Blueberry Smoothie' are called the "Smooth Sisters".
