This large size (24
inches high by 35 inches wide) cultivar is a
seedling of H. 'Rosedale Black Hole'. The slow growing,
upright hosta was registered by
Robert Hackbarth of
The Hosta Leaf in Colesburg, Iowa in
2015. Its leaves are intensely blue-green, slightly
rippled, moderately cupped, slightly folded, slightly
wavy, heavily corrugated and dull on top. Pale lavender
flowers with a light lavender center bloom from mid-June
into July and it sets viable seeds. The plant gets
darker colored later in the season.
