Registered by
Charles Kwick of Wisconsin in
2017,
this large size (24 inches high by 50 inches wide) cultivar is an
upright growing seedling of H. 'Great
Expectations' ×
H. 'Sagae'. The foliage is slightly blue-green,
broadly ovate, slightly folded, corrugated and dull on
top. Medium lavender flowers with light lavender stripes
bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 40
inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was not
known at the time of registration. The
registration materials state: "...Slight glaucous
bloom gives an almost plastic appearance to the leaves.
Very regal presentation...slightly lighter shade of
blue-green as season progresses."
