This
cultivar was registered by
Dr. Doug and Mardy Beilstein of Ohio in 2012. It
is the result of a cross of (H. 'Splashed Leather' × H. 'Treasure Island') which was then open-pollinated. It forms a
medium size clump about 18 inches high by 20 inches wide. The
leaves are medium green, slightly rippled, slightly wavy,
moderately corrugated, elliptic and very shiny on top. Tubular
shaped flowers bloom from mid-August into October on scapes up
to 28 inches tall followed by red spotted seed pods.
The seedling was a winner of an American
Hosta Society "First Look" competition.
