Mary Chastain of Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee registered this cultivar as a hybrid of H. 'Kabitan' × "Chastain Seedling 9-14-7" in 1996. The small size plant grows to 10 inches in height with a spread of around 20 inches. Its chartreuse foliage is narrow and shiny. Purple flowers bloom from late July into August.
