This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Mary Chastain of Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee. It grows into a medium size (12 inches high by 32 inches wide) hosta with dark green foliage. The leaves are shiny, unruly, broadly ovate and have thick substance.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...appears to have Hosta yingeri in its background."
