A sport of H. 'Lakeside Dot Com',
this plant was registered in 2005 by
Mary Chastain of
Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee. This small size mound of wavy, corrugated foliage bears
near white flowers in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The
AHS registration of
this cultivar describes it as bearing white flowers in June (Walek 2006). It also lists it as a sport of 'Lakeside Dot Com', which
was registered as producing deep purple flowers in August
(Stevenson 2000). Either the origin of 'Lakeside Dimpled
Darling' is in error or the flower color of one or both of these
cultivars is incorrect."
