Hosta 'Lady Maude'

Registered by Charles Kwick of Wisconsin in 2020, this medium size (14 inches high by 36 inches wide), rhizomatous cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Summer Lovin'. It has medium green, broadly ovate foliage that is slightly rippled, slightly folded, slightly wavy, slightly shiny on top and has a distinctly acuminate leaf tip.

The flowers are medium lavender with alternate petals having white surrounding the lavender center. They bloom from late July into August on scapes 32 to 36 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was unknown at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Uniformly shaped, lightly folded leaves with slightly rippled margins. This rhizomatous plant seems to be bug resistant...darkens slightly throughout the season."
