this rhizomatous cultivar is a medium size (13 inches
high by 30 inches wide) seedling of H. 'Guacamole' ×
H. 'Patriot'. The greenish-yellow leaves are
slightly folded, ovate, slightly corrugated and dull on
top. Deep purple, spider shaped flowers bloom from late
July into August on scapes 30 to 40 inches tall. It sets
seeds but their viability was unknown at the time of
registration.
The registration materials state: "...Purple
striped, spider-shaped flowers on tall scapes have a
slight aroma...distinct striping and every other petal
has a lace-like appearance around the edge."
