This sport of H. 'Jane Ward' was
registered by Dr. Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio in 2005. It grows
into a large size hosta about 27 inches
in height and a width of 73 inches. The leaves are deeply
veined, ovate and slightly wavy. Pale purple flowers with light
purple bracts open in July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...its purplish bracts create a flower-like appearance as
the scape bud unfurls. This trait presents a tremendous
opportunity for hybridizers wishing to improve the flower
performance of hostas."
