This hybrid of H. aequinoctiiantha x H. pycnophylla was originated by Hajime Sugita in Japan and registered on his behalf by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 2001. It forms a medium size plant about 11 inches tall with medium green foliage. Deep reddish lavender flowers bloom in September and October.
