A medium to large size hosta, this cultivar is a
tissue culture sport of an F1 seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' which was registered by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 2005. It has blue-green foliage with a gold
colored marginal variegation and have thick substance.
Pale lavender flowers bloom in July on scapes about 31
inches tall. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...slug-resistant cultivar shows no evidence of spring
desiccation burn and would make a good substitute for
H. 'Frances Williams' in the landscape.
It is the chimeral reversal of 'Krinkle
Sister'..."
