This
sport of H. 'Striptease' was registered in 2000 as part of the "Kiwi
Series" of hostas from
Barry Sligh of Taunton Gardens in New Zealand. This cultivar forms a large size
(20 inches high) mound of slightly wavy, smooth textured foliage
of average substance. It has green and gold leaves with a 3/4
inch wide white marginal variegation. Pale lavender flowers
bloom from mid-July
to August.
From
The
Hosta Journal, (2008 Vol. 39 No 1), "Spring
finds 'Kiwi Tease' emerging with a soft green center and a wide
yellow margin, divided by a flash of white. Through the season,
the green center takes on golden-yellow hues and the margin
turns creamy white."
