This cultivar is a sport of H. 'Francee' and is part of the "Kiwi
Series" of hostas from
Barry Sligh of Taunton Gardens in New Zealand.
It was registered in 1999. The
medium size plant stands about 16 inches high with
a spread of 35 inches. Its green foliage has white marginal
variegation with streaks of green and white. Pale lavender
flowers bloom from late July into August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...makes a colorful mound of streaky foliage, but it often
reverts to 'Francee'...must be constantly culled to maintain the
true plant...I suspect it will go the way of 'Counter Point',
'High Fat Cream', and 'Flamboyant' and be a non-viable
cultivar."
