A non-registered sport of
H. 'Hadspen Blue',
this cultivar was originated by Barry Sligh of Taunton Gardens in New Zealand. Its leaves are blue-green with gold streaked
variegation. This large size (18 inches high by 41
inches wide) plant has slightly cupped and
corrugated foliage with thick substance. It bears very pale
lavender flowers from late July into August.

Grenfell (2009) states: "Slow to increase...Leaf color is at its most
intense in early summer, gradually darkening to almost
pure blue that then assumes a green tinge."
