Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term kishimafu or ki shimafu as yellow-stripe(d) or yellow-streak(ed).

This cultivar name was mentioned in the Lockwood article with no further details but we can probably expect that it is a plant with yellow striped or streaked foliage. It is also related to Hosta kikutii var. polyneuron which is known as Sudare Gibōshi in Japan.
