From what we can figure, this
hosta was registered in 2003 as H. 'Ki
Nakafu Otome'. Then in 2009, the name was changed to H.
'Kinakafu Otome'. In 2018, it was re-registered as H. 'Ki
Nakafu Otome'...so that is the name we will use.
Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled,
A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term kinakafu or ki nakifu as yellow-center(ed)
and Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled,
A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term otome as maiden, 'Otome Gibōshi' or
H. venusta.
