This sport of H. 'Striptease' originated with
Marco Fransen in the
Netherlands and is a
medium size,
non-registered cultivar. The center of the leaf changes from
light green to gold as the season progresses. It bears pale
lavender flowers from July into August.
According to a Google search, "Juha" was a 1999 movie made in
Finland.
From
The
Hosta Journal, (2008 Vol. 39 No 1), "Still
very new to the trade, 'Juha' is the only other margined 'Striptease' sport that
is relatively easy to find. The leaves of 'Juha' are narrower than would be
expected for a 'Striptease' sport and the plant is smaller...was temporarily
called 'Paradise Stripes' before it was introduced, at which time it was
officially named 'Juha', a Hebrew word that means "gift from God."
