Judi Frost of Ohio registered this sport of
H. 'Gold Standard' in 2003. It is a medium size
(16 inches high by 30 inches wide) plant with
blotches of gold and white in its medium green leaves. The
leaves are slightly rippled, heavily corrugated, broadly ovate and slightly
shiny on top. Lavender, funnel
shaped flowers bloom from mid-July to August.
According to the registration information, this cultivar was named by fellow
hybridizer,
Wm Zumbar and has veins that are often green in the lighter leaf
areas.
