this large size (19 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Christmas
Tree Gala' ×
H. 'Potomac Pride'. It is a dark green hosta
which has a light yellow marginal variegation. The
leaves are heavily corrugated, broadly ovate and
slightly shiny on top. Pale lavender flowers with darker
lavender stripes bloom from mid-July into August on
scapes up to 28 inches tall. It does not set seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Infusion of dark
green and light green in the margins."
The
cultivar is named for a long-time member and volunteer
for the Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society.
