Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery in North Carolina registered this small size (7 inches high by 28 inches wide) seedling of H. ventricosa in 2006. The leaves are medium green, broadly ovate, slightly wavy, moderately flat and slightly shiny on top. Deep purple, bell-shaped flowers with stripes bloom in North Carolina from June into July. It does not form seeds.
