This seedling of a gold-leaved H. 'Aspen Gold' seedling is a non-registered hosta from
Kirk Brill of Iowa. The medium size mound grows to about 15 inches in height with a width of 31 inches. Its foliage is heavily
corrugated, cupped
and has thick substance. Near white flowers in dense clusters
bloom in June.
For those of you under 40, I will assume that this cultivar is
named after singing star of the 1970s, John Denver of Rocky
Mountain High fame. I always agreed with him when he sang,
"Thank God, I'm a Country Boy!"
