of Ohio in
2020,
this medium size (18 inches high by 18 inches wide) cultivar is
a
sport of H. 'Joan Altman'. It has golden-yellow,
ovate
foliage that is slightly cupped, slightly corrugated and
slightly shiny on top. Pale lavender flowers with a
broad lavender center stripe on white petals bloom in
July on scapes 23 to 26 inches tall. It sets seeds but
their viability was unknown at the time of registration.
The registration materials state: "...Gold leaves
develop a misty green center later in the fall. The
shape and size are otherwise similar to it's marginally
variegated parent H. 'Joan Altman'...later in
the fall the yellow gold fades to yellow and the leaf
centers develop a green mist ." |
