Originated by
Rick Goodenough of Massachusetts and
Madelon Gilligan of New
Zealand, his cultivar is a
seedling of H. 'Designer Genes' × H. 'Mr Jack'. The
medium size (11 inches high by 25 inches wide) hosta was
registered by Gilligan in 2015
and
re-registered
with new data in 2018.
Its foliage is medium
green in color, broadly ovate, slightly wavy and dull on
top with red petioles. The flowers have three tepals of
medium lavender and three of white. Medium lavender
flowers on scapes 28 to 39 inches tall bloom from
mid-January into February (Mid-July into August). Seed set was
unknown at the
time of registration. According to the registration
information, this hosta is notable for its "...tall red
stem and flower buds with hint of red early...3
tepals medium lavender; 3 tepals have white edges."
