Originated by Rick Goodenough of Massachusetts, this non-registered cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Blueberry Muffin' × H. 'Mr Jack'. It is a large size hosta with heavy blue-green foliage and red petioles. The color extends up into the leaf base and veins. This cultivar is a bit larger than the parent and its red color stays longer into the summer. 'Jack Be Nimble' is an excellent breeding plant for blue-green hostas with red petioles. It is a full sibling to H. 'Jack Berry'.
