According to The Genus HOSTA by W. George Schmid (1991), this is a large size (26 inches high by 38 inches wide), medium green cultivar originated by Handy Hatfield of Ohio. The leaves are corrugated and heart shape. Lavender flowers bloom in July followed by fertile seeds.

We suspect that it is somehow related to H. 'Island Forest Gem'.
