This cultivar of unidentified parentage which was registered in 1983 is part of the "Iron Gate Series" of hostas from Van Sellers of North Carolina. It grows into a large size hosta at a height of 19 inches with a spread of 37 inches with dark green foliage. Purple flowers bloom in August.
