This hybrid of H. kiyosumiensis x H. pycnophylla was originated by Hajime Sugita of Japan and was registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 1998. This hosta grows into a medium size plant about 17 inches in height with a spread of 48 inches. It has dark green leaves which have smooth texture and are shiny. Pale purple flowers subtended by whitish bracts on the scapes bloom in August.
