Hosta 'Indian Summer'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. One is registered and, therefore, the "official" version of H. 'Indian Summer' while the other is a non-registered plant and needs to be renamed to avoid further confusion.

This sport of H. 'Bravo' was registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 2006. It is a small size plant about 10 inches high by 18 inches in width with gold colored foliage that turns green later in the season and has a creamy white marginal variegation. Lavender flowers bloom from early July into August.

Alex Summers of Delaware originated a cultivar of unidentified parentage that had green foliage. According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...may no longer exist."
