A hybrid of H. 'Black Hills' × an
unidentified seedling, this cultivar was registered by
Dennis Savory
of Savory's Gardens in Minnesota in 1989. The medium size mound has heavily corrugated, ovate,
slightly cupped, wavy foliage. Its near white flowers bloom in
late June. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Its intense puckering makes 'Indian Hills' worth owning.
Just about every square inch of leaf surface is corrugated."
