Registered by Dr. Doug and Mardy Beilstein of Ohio in
2017,
this medium size (16 inches high by 30 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of
an unnamed seedling of
H. laevigata. The leaves
are intensely powdery blue-green, nearly round,
moderately cupped, corrugated and have a glaucous bloom
on top. Near white flowers bloom from late June into
July on scapes about 20 inches tall. It sets viable
seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Very powdery
blue, slightly rugose leaves cup downward as they emerge
from the very glaucous petioles, giving the appearance
of multiple "hovercrafts" when viewed from above. The
many pods on its scapes prove it communicates very
well."
