Ran Lydell of
Cooks Nursery and Eagle Bay Gardens in New York introduced this
non-registered sport of H. 'Guacamole'. It grows
into a large size hosta over 19 inches
in height and spreads about 3 feet wide. The pale lavender,
fragrant flowers bloom in August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Besides its much wider green
margin (and because of it), the foliage of 'Hot Green Chilies'
tends to be a little floppier and has more corrugation than
'Guacamole'."
