This hybrid of
H. longipes latifolia x H. 'Dorset Blue' was registered by
Hans Hansen of Minnesota in 2005. The medium size
(13 inches high by 38 inches wide) plant is
a rich
blue-green in color similar to that of the
Tardianas. Its
leaves are slightly cupped and slightly corrugated. Lavender
flowers bloom from late August into September.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Grow at the front of a border or as an edging
plant if there is plenty of space...Differs from its H. 'Dorset Blue' parent in
having less cupped, smoother leaves with a very pronounced tip."
