This cultivar is a
seedling of H. 'Korean Snow' × H. 'June' was registered by
Martin Lokies of Germany in 2015. It is a small size
hosta about 12 inches high with a spread of 17 inches.
The medium to dark green foliage is very flat, ovate and
shiny on top. Its petioles are lime green in color with
some red dots. Pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers with
translucent edges bloom from late July into August on
short scapes.
The
best we could find on a brief search was that the German word "Smaragd"
means emerald. We were unable to find an English word or
definition for the word "Hervester". It could be someone's
or something's name.
