Hosta
'Helen Doriot'

This cultivar was registered by Dr. David Reath of Michigan in 1982 as a hybrid of H. 'Frances Williams' × H. 'Elegans'. It is a typical large size (25 inch tall) mound of heavily corrugated, deeply lobed foliage with thick substance. Near white flowers bloom from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...comes very close to the true H. 'Elegans' in every aspect...It was one of the first hostas to be propagated by tissue culture (in the mid-1970s at the University of Illinois)."
