This
open-pollinated seedling of
H. 'Shiro Kabitan' was registered by
Clarence
Owens of Michigan in 1987. It forms a dense,
medium size mound about 17 inches high and 52 inches
wide with slightly cupped, slightly corrugated leaves. Medium
lavender flowers bloom in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...acts more like a
H. nakaiana seedling
in both foliage and flower rather than a
Hosta
sieboldii-type as 'Haku Chu Han' (now called H. 'Shiro Kabitan')
would indicate."
