Hosta 'Hands Up'

This non-registered tetraploid sport of H. 'Praying Hands' is from Marco Fransen of Fransen Hostas in the Netherlands. He and Vernooij V.O.F. were granted a U.S. patent in 2013. It is a small to medium size plant with very upright foliage. The green foliage has a thin yellow marginal variegation with good substance. It has lavender flowers from July into August.

Abstract: A new and distinct Hosta cultivar named ‘Hands Up’ is disclosed, characterized by a distinctive upright plant habit, large flowers, vigorous plant habit and strong foliage, with good resistance to environmental stressors. The near variety is a Hosta, typically used for outdoor ornamental purposes.
