Fransen Hostas website shows it as a plant
originated by
John Christensen
of New Jersey and is a hybrid of H. 'H.D.
Thoreau' ×
H. 'Sagae'.
MyHostas database says that it came from seed acquired
from
Dr. Charles Purtymun
of Walden West in Oregon and the cross was (H. 'H.D.
Thoreau' ×
H. fluctuans)
× open pollinated.
Of
course, 'Sagae' was previously known by the incorrect
name, H. fluctuans 'Variegated'. |
