This seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' was
originated by
Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan and registered by Rod Kuenster of Iowa in 2010. It forms a medium size (14 inches high
by 32 inches wide) plant that resembles H. 'Tokudama'. The blue-green foliage has streaked foliage with
yellow and green margins. Its leaves are lightly folded, slightly
corrugated, nearly round and have glaucous bloom on top. The near white flowers
with lavender stripes bloom from
mid-July into August. It sets viable seeds in streaked pods.
