Hosta 'Gunther'

This seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' was originated by Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan and registered by Rod Kuenster of Iowa in 2010. It forms a medium size (14 inches high by 32 inches wide) plant that resembles H. 'Tokudama'. The blue-green foliage has streaked foliage with yellow and green margins. Its leaves are lightly folded, slightly corrugated, nearly round and have glaucous bloom on top. The near white flowers with lavender stripes bloom from mid-July into August. It sets viable seeds in streaked pods.
